Principals

G. Andrews Smith, JD

Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer

Andy Smith is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He is the senior executive responsible for strategic management and is one of the firm's two principals.

Mr. Smith joined the Dallas law firm of Winstead, McGuire, Sechrest and Minick in 1978 as a real estate tax attorney, where he worked until he joined L&B in 1981.

Mr. Smith has served as a board member of the Pension Real Estate Association, the United States Chamber of Commerce Economic Policy Committee, Institutional Real Estate Clearinghouse, and the National Conference On Public Employee Retirement Systems. Mr. Smith is a current member of the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys.

Other professional activities include: sole trustee to State Treasurer of Michigan, member of a three person task force selected to deliver comments to SEC on proposed amendments to Investment Advisors Act of 1940, and University of Texas-Task Force member (alternatives related to endowment lands). Mr. Smith is currently a member of the Texas State Bar, Dallas Bar Association, and the Bar of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.

Mr. Smith earned a BBA degree in 1975 and a JD degree in 1978 both from Southern Methodist University.

Daniel L. Plumlee, JD

Partner and Chief Investment Officer

Dan Plumlee is President and Chief Investment Officer. He is the senior executive responsible for overseeing investments and is one of the firm's two principals.

Before joining L&B in 1984, Mr. Plumlee practiced real estate law with the Dallas firm of Strasburger & Price.

Mr. Plumlee is a member of The Real Estate Council, the Urban Land Institute, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Mr. Plumlee received his BBA degree in accounting from the University of Texas in 1978 and a JD degree from Southern Methodist University in 1981. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas, and a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

	Mark P. Faraldo Executive Vice President In addition to serving as Executive Vice President, Mark Faraldo also has portfolio management responsibilities for select non-discretionary separate account clients. Prior to joining L&B, Mr. Faraldo was Vice President of RepublicBank of Dallas, Senior Analyst at Aetna Life & Casualty, and Assistant Vice President at Maryland National Bank. Mr. Faraldo earned his BS/BA from Bucknell University in 1976.
	Mark R. Gerigk Deputy Investment Officer - Executive Vice President Finance Mark Gerigk is Deputy Investment Officer and Executive Vice President of Finance. Mr. Gerigk has overall responsibility for all discretionary account management and has specific client portfolio management assignments. He coordinates the portfolio appraisal process and presides over the Investment Committee meetings in the absence of the Chief Investment Officer. Prior to joining L&B in 1979, Mr. Gerigk was an auditor at Southland Corporation and a systems analyst at National Data Communications. Mr. Gerigk is a member of Pension Real Estate Association and National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries. Mr. Gerigk received a BBA from East Texas State University in 1970.
